Selger denne boka som ny. Journey to Freedom, Volume 1: Crying Freeman Product Details Paperback: 168 pages Publisher: VIZ Media LLC; 1 edition (June 5, 1995) Language: English ISBN-10:ISBN-13:Product Dimensions: 8 x 5.5 x 0.5 inches Shipping Weight: 9.6 ounces As the razor sharp distinction between what is good and what is evil blurs the closer we get to y2k, a new type of hero has emerged from Japan who is not James Bond or John Wayne.Crying Freeman is an assassin, an anti-hero, but he is so good at what he does that the reader is rooting for him to win in the end.He is, after all killing others of his own kind. The story captures the imagination because it is realistic and the key ingredients are very similar to a book written by Jack Trevanian called "Shibumi".In that book, an assassin named Nicholas Hel dispatches his targets with an obscure martial art that could only be translated as "naked kill". He is also very well versed in the art of seduction. I wonder if the author of Crying Freeman ever read that book? Shibumi is a Japanese word to describe the art of "effortless perfection", a quality amply displayed throughout the manga. In any case, if you're bored with the clean-cut goodygoody heroes of the past and are looking for something grittier, then Crying Freeman is for you.Se flere gjenstander fra denne selgeren | ||||

SHOUT 'Shout Back' 1999 Hard Rock CD, ft. KEN TAMPLIN Format: CD Condition: NEW Year of Release: 1999 Cat. No.: ZRLabel: Z RECORDS Country of Origin: CZECH REPUBLIC Ken Tamplin is back with his old band Shout for their first recordings in over 10 years!! While keeping his longtime guitarist Howie Simon in the fold, Ken has reunited with his old band mates to churn out a 15 song hard rock assault. The cd was produced and engineered by Mr. Tamplin himself in his own home studio, and he opted to go for a more stripped down and modern approach than the 1980's Shout. The results are clearly more "In Your Face" , so to speak. Ken's vocals truly shine on this cd, and the songs are some of the most melodic and memorable of Ken's long career. Check out the infectious chorus of the Van Halenish "More Than Kisses" or the catchy "I'm Movin On". Some of the other notable tracks are the Extreme-like " In The Brave Days of Old", which features a blistering guitar solo from Howie Simon (who has drawn comparisons to Yngwie Malmsteen and John Sykes) and the funky yet subtle "Sometimes It Just Hurts". There is even a slammin' cover version of Rare Earth's "I Just Want To Celebrate", featuring Impellitteri and SX-10 drummer Glen Sobel. For those fans of the Early Shout records, Ken is still in his fine David Coverdale like form, and this CD is chock full of first rate musicianship, great hard rock songs and crystal clear production. A must have for the collector! As an added note, Ken is slated to begin work on his next CD, which should be released sometime in 2001. Track Listing: 1. Dreams For Sale 2. More Than Kisses 3.
